Service extension to Australia & Korea

In response to the increasing breakbulk export requirements from Townsville, Australia, Newpac will be rescheduling its service network to include direct calls at Townsville (TSV) and Pusan (PUS).  The first of its 3x ships which will make the inaugural call in Australia will be Cape North V1310N eta Townsville 29th July 2010. The revamped service will offer regular TSV sailings every 18 days to/from North Asia.  For more details of this new schedule, please click “Services”  and  “Schedule”.

Although the extension to TSV is primarily initiated by its breakbulk Contract of Affreightment with Sun Metals Corporation Pty Ltd, Newpac will be looking towards expansion of its breakbulk customer base.

The inclusion of PUS will facilitate a direct Korea-China- Hong Kong container and breakbulk service. It will also provide a more reliable link between Northern Chinese ports (such as Qingdao, Xingang, Ningbo, Dalian), Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Fiji and New Caledonia.

Being a prominent transshipment hub, PUS  will also enable Newpac to offer SOC opportunities from the Pacific Islands and TSV to various international shipping lines who use the same Korean hub.

Always at your service,
The Newpac Commercial Team
